Whoever added Chocolate to a cereal I hadn’t bought prior, thanks. It’s pretty darn tasty. And the amount of chocolate is generous. Good job!!

At times I wake up and don’t feel like having my usual fruit/veg smoothie or oatmeal, so this is what I have. I’ve been known on occasion to even eat cereal for lunch.

Okay, enough of my eating habits. I want to update and say that we’re mostly moved in. Now, it’s not time for a party by any means, but the place is coming together. I still like it, but the honeymoon period is over. The good news is that my husband and I can make any place feel a bit better with ALL the artwork we own. The bad news: My husband and I may need to open up a gallery of some sort at some point. We have too many items and not enough walls!!

I’m gonna switch the subject and take a moment for the artist in me to vent:

I have this perpetual itch to create something! I’m looking around at our stuff, art supplies, sketch journals, thousands of pens, markers, etc. and it’s just driving me crazy!

Okay, that’s enough, I could go on, and I know the answer is to just do it! And I will. If you’ve moved enough times, you know how disruptive and irritating it can be to creative juices. I feel like a can of soda that’s been shaken with no release for the pressure.

So, if you come across me and see the “resting bitch face”, well, it may be a real bitch face. You’ve been warned. ūüėČ

Modern art

Deep down I may have the soul of an artist, but I know after going to visit a museum that I lack the life of an artist. There are many days that I would like to just sit and paint all day, but I don’t. Maybe someday.

I took this photo and it was fun to just stare at it. It doesn’t have to make sense, though it does seem to speak, but it doesn’t have words. If only life can be lived in this way.

I’ve recently marveled at how¬†a seemingly simple¬†art¬†piece can be viewed in multiple ways by people. I can see a kind of an arrow pointing left, but my eyes also want to finish the piece and draw lines to connect the points and angles which then forms a sort of space ship. What do you see?

Coming at ya at 11:00 p.m. to report on my wonderful day. The morning I spent at the Fremont Festival enjoying the art booths and a beautiful sunny day¬†with my husband. I’m always impressed at the creativity of the artists in Seattle.

Then in the afternoon, I drove to the airport and picked up my friend Karen visiting from Texas. This is her first visit to Seattle and so I was excited to show her around. Our first stop was the Chihuly Exhibit in Seattle. We leisurely walked around gazing ¬†at the mesmerizing glass exhibits. Next, we enjoyed a wonderful view of the city from the top of the Space Needle. And I was happy that the elevator ride up was so fast, I didn’t have time to be nervous!

~Peace friends, hope your day was good also.
